This is probably one of my nerdiest drawings… Earlier today Laughing Squid linked to a post on The Oatmeal about Nikolas Tesla (Yesterday was Nikolas Tesla’s birthday). Tesla invented many things that Thomas Edison gets credit for. The Oatmeal post breaks down many of these inventions in a really funny way that reminded me of the Chuck Testa commercial that went viral semi-recently — just replace the dead animals with Thomas Edison… and then Testa with Tesla.
Also, if you haven’t seen Drunk History: Tesla, you should probably go watch it.
Wait, is that me and Nik Tesla? Nope. Chuck Testa.

I think I can do this.

In case there are any younger readers out there, this is right on:
With as serious a tone as I could muster, I said “Listen to me, okay? What I’m about to say is something I want you take in and think about and really hold on to.”
He nodded. “Okay, he said.”

Never clean all of the dirt off of a plants roots. They don’t like it…

My Geeks,
Which is nerdier? Reading Warhammer 40k books or playing D& D with your roommates?
I am sitting at Spicy Pickle today having lunch with my friend, Brad. My dog is with us also as he comes with me to work every day.
I wasn’t sure if Brad was going to show up or not, so I had my book with me. I am reading Eisenhorn. Brad shows up so I put my book down and he sat down. He looked at my book and says “You are reading a Warhammer 40k book?”. I said yes. He asks “why?”. Because it is a good book.. “okay”
A little later, after we have eaten, I asked him if he had read any of the Warhammer books. He says no, that he isn’t that nerdy. Then starts telling me that he and his room mates have started playing D&D. um…..
